Very High Capacity Networks: Regulation, Competition and Investment

Participants will acquire:

• Understanding of the diversity of telecom networks that are needed to ensure connectivity as well as a plurality of actors involved in the deployment of these networks;
• A comprehensive overview of the EU regulatory framework, with a specific focus on access regulation;
• Understanding of different perspectives concerning investment (telecom firms, NRAs, but also private investors), including new issues raised by national recovery and resilience plans.

The course is tailored to meet the training needs of:

• Regulatory experts who specialize in one specific area and who seek to expand or improve the understanding of issues covered in the course;
• Regulatory experts who have country-specific knowledge primarily and who seek to gain a comparative perspective
• Mid-level employees at regulatory authorities and telecom firms who seek to acquire a fundamental understanding of critical issues concerning connectivity in a short time
• Policy makers at Ministries, who are competent in the area of the digital economy and telecommunications networks
• Academics whose area of research focuses on connectivity and electronic communications networks (PhD researchers, post-docs)

At the end of the course, participants can earn two types of certificates depending on their level of engagement and performance throughout the course.

Level 1: Certificate of Attendance

Awarded to all participants. Kindly note that the fee payment must be settled before the start of the course.

Level 2: Certificate of Excellence

Awarded to participants who complete the weekly assignments on time and take an active part in most of the live classes (at least 4 out of 5) as well as group discussions.
