Biography

Claudia Feller is a patent litigator at Peterreins Schley Patent- und Rechtsanwälte PartG mbB. As an attorney-at-law she advises on all matters pertaining to patent law, including contentious and non-contentious work. Her proven expertise covers standard essential patents (SEPs) and FRAND-licensing, including their competition law aspects and German particularities in dealing with them.

Before joining Peterreins Schley, Claudia worked at the chair for Business Law and IP Law of the Technical University of Munich and practised at two international law firms. She obtained a doctoral degree on the topic of FRAND-declarations with a scholarship of the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich. Claudia also holds a master´s degree in European and International Business Law (LL.M. eur.) from the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich and a master´s degree in Intellectual Property Law and Policy (LL.M.) from the University of Washington, Seattle.

Claudia is founding member and deputy chair of the executive board of the Munich IP Dispute Resolution Forum. In that position, she co-authored the Munich IPDR Forum FRAND ADR Case Management Guidelines. She is also one of the co-authors of the Beck Online Commentary UPC (online end of 2023).
