Biography
Emanuele Tarantino is a Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics and Finance of Luiss, and a research affiliate at EIEF and CEPR. Since 2017 he has been a member of the Economic Advisory Group on Competition Policy of the European Commission Chief Economist (DG Comp), and in 2023 he was appointed as academic Advisor of the Bank of Spain. He holds a PhD in Economics from the EUI and, before joining LUISS, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Mannheim. His research interests are in financial economics and industrial organization. He is on the editorial board of the International Journal of Industrial Organization and has published in the Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and RAND Journal of Economics.
