Ivanka Karaivanova is a PhD Researcher at the European University Institute, working on a thesis entitled: ‘On the Tracks of Effective Public Enforcement of EU Consumer Law in the Digital Markets’.

She is also an external affiliate at the Institute for the Study of European Law, City St George’s, University of London. Her research interests include European Law and Governance, Europeanisation and European Integration, Protection of Fundamental Rights in Europe, Consumer and Personal Data Protection, Digital Transformation and AI Regulation.
