Biography

Yuka Aoyagi is a Visiting Fellow at the Department of Law of the European University Institute (EUI) and Professor of Competition Law at the Faculty of Law, Hosei University in Tokyo. Her recent research focuses on EU and Japanese competition law, regulatory policy, and the intersection of competition law and digital markets.

In addition to her academic work, she serves as an expert member on various advisory committees for the Japanese government, local authorities, and public institutions, contributing her expertise to policy-making and regulatory initiatives.

She holds a Master in Law from Yokohama National University, an LL.M. from New York University, and a Ph.D. in law from Waseda University.
