Leonardo Mazzoni joined the EUI as a research associate in May 2023. He completed his PhD in Development Economics and Local Systems at the University of Trento and Florence in 2020. He worked as a researcher and technology transfer collaborator at Artes 4.0 -IMT School for Advanced Studies and as a post-doc fellow at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Padua.
He worked as a lecturer of the courses “International Entrepreneurship” at KENT STATE University and “Economics and Management of Innovation” at the University of Padua.
His research interests deal with Entrepreneurship and Innovation, with a particular focus on the role of the industrial structure and digital transformation in shaping the birth and performance of firms.
He is co-author of national and international publications of recognised interest (among others Small Business Economics, Regional Studies, Industry and Innovation and Technology Analysis and Strategic Management).
